“Interwined” is a piece born from fragmentation and reunion. The braided strips of canvas were once part of a single painted whole, now separated, twisted, and woven back together. I used colors that echo the tones of skin and flesh, a reminder of our shared humanity. Like us, these fragments don’t align perfectly. Some edges clash, others fold into each other gently. But together, they form something complete.
This work speaks to the idea that we are made of many layers, experiences, and contradictions, and that connection doesn’t require perfect symmetry. Wholeness can be woven from difference.
This painting is about how we are constantly rearranging ourselves, trying to find balance in a world that doesn’t always stay still. The colors don’t fight for perfection; instead, they try to coexist, each one looking for its place, sometimes clashing, sometimes blending, always in motion.
To me, this piece is a about the dance of our contradictions, the unfinished parts, the layers we don’t always show. Together, they make up the imperfect, ever-changing composition of each life.
